The other folktale tells that formerly, Hon Chong was where of dangerous cliffs. On a stormy day, the boat of a young couple hit the rock and was capsized. Because the waves were so big that they swept away the wife, the panicked husband jumped into the sea to save his wife. He held his wife with one hand and the other hand to cling the rock.
However, the power of human beings can stop nature, and the rock was unstable, the unfortunate couple was plunged into the sea. Because of that noble love, this place has the name of the husband – the wife, especially the fingerprints that have deeply carved into the rock that the husband has left.
